It truly is one of the most wonderful times of the year! As part of Cam Newton’s annual 'Christmas with Cam' tradition, the Carolina Panthers star quarterback invited a handful of Atrium Health's Levine Children’s Hospital patients to Sunday’s game for a day filled with football, holiday cheer and memories to last a lifetime. For several of these special guests, it was their first NFL experience!
Our patients are in for a once-in-a-lifetime day today. We’re en route to the @Panthers game, compliments of @CameronNewton! 💙🏈#MyLevineChildrens | #WPMOY | #KeepPounding pic.twitter.com/6qvoaMH7wp

This year’s group consisted of 10 patients and their families, who were transported to Bank of America Stadium on a charter bus and escorted to a suite reserved for the group where they could enjoy complimentary snacks, take photos with Santa and watch the game.

This is the 8th consecutive year that Cam has hosted Levine Children's Hospital patients during 'Christmas with Cam.' This year was filled with many firsts as Cam was able to sit with his visitors during the game while he recovers from his recent foot surgery. Not only did this give him more time to bond with patients, it also allowed him to personally gift his guests with their very own No. 1 jerseys, personalized on the back with their last names! This was an extra special event for patient, Andrea (below right), who was accompanied to the game by her occupational therapist, Emily Caveny.
A big thank you and congratulations to Cam Newton, the Panthers Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, for arranging this day with these incredible kiddos! It's memories like these that our patients and their families will cherish forever.
