Sometimes our spirits need healing as much as our bodies. In a hospital setting, the person providing spiritual and emotional care is called a chaplain. At Levine Children's Hospital, we have our own chaplains who specialize in the care of children.
Chaplains are here for you 24 hours a day to listen and provide other clinically relevant spiritual and emotional care. To request a visit from the chaplain, please ask any staff member to contact one for you. Chaplains can also be reached by calling the hospital operator 704-381-2000.
You may find a visit from a chaplain helpful when:
The chapel is located on the second level of Levine Children's Hospital and it is always open. Through lighting, art and design, the chapel is designed to provide people of all faiths a place set apart for reflection, quiet meditation or prayer.
A brief prayer service is held in the chapel on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and all are welcome. If you would like to know when other religious services are held on campus, please call the Carolinas Medical Center Department of Pastoral Care at 704-355-2218.
