Many health insurance plans include Atrium Health doctors and hospitals in their networks, but not all. This fall, before you choose a plan for 2025, check if your Atrium Health doctors and hospitals are in their network. This way, you can continue your care with them and limit your out-of-pocket costs.

Individual Health Insurance Marketplace 


Open Enrollment:

  • November 1 to January 15

Coverage Begins:

  • January 1, if enrolled by December 15
  • February 1, if enrolled by January 15

The individual marketplace lets eligible people buy private health insurance coverage at federally subsidized rates.

Medicare


Open Enrollment:

  • October 15 to December 7

Coverage Begins:

  • January 1

Check for changes in your plan and choose Original Medicare, Medigap (Medical Supplement) or Medicare Advantage.

Generally, Medicare is available for people age 65 or older, younger people with disabilities and people with end-stage kidney disease.
