Volunteers are essential to creating a positive patient experience. Volunteers are often the first and last person a patient or guest encounters.
Volunteers at our hospitals assist staff in greeting and welcoming guests, escorting patients and guests, performing clerical tasks and a variety of other duties.
Our volunteers work in many areas throughout the hospital, such as:
- Information desks
- Gift shop
- Intensive Care Unit waiting lobby
- Outpatient registration
- Surgery waiting lobby
- Emergency Department waiting lobby
- Patient and Family Advisory Council
- Nursing units
- Patient transportation tram
