Dr. Connelly is board certified in clinical neurophysiology, neurology and sleep medicine. He specializes in general neurology, routine diagnostic procedures and sleep medicine, including interpretation of sleep studies.
Dr. Connelly is the site-based medical director at the Atrium Health Neurology Cabarrus and the medical director for Neurology Northern Region. He was inspired to study medicine after seeing his grandfather suffer a stroke and lose his ability to speak.
He received his medical degree and completed his residency and fellowship at Wake Forest University.
Dr. Connelly is married with 3 children. He’s an avid tennis player, hiker and backpacker.
