“I am dedicated to optimizing care for all of my patients.”
Dr. Miller is board certified in neurology and vascular neurology. He is a hospitalist who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of strokes. He is also a member of the Neurology Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee at Atrium Health.
Dr. Miller was named Neurology Physician of the Quarter at Atrium Health and recognized with an Excellence in Medical Student Teaching Faculty Award by the Atrium Health Department of Neurology.
He was a sub-investigator for 2 clinical trials focused on the treatment of strokes: SATURN (Statins In Intracerebral Hemorrhage) and ASPIRE (Anticoagulation for Stroke Prevention and Recovery After ICH).
He discovered a love of neurology, specifically inpatient care for those who suffered strokes, after seeing how acute interventions can help patients recover from potentially devastating conditions and live fruitful and meaningful lives.
Dr. Miller received his undergraduate degree and medical degree at the University of Kansas. He completed residency at Indiana University and a fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of Iowa.
When not working, Dr. Miller enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife, 3 daughters and their dog, Scooter. He has a passion for sports, fitness and being a dad. He enjoys checking out local microbreweries with friends, and he loves his alma mater, the Kansas Jayhawks, and his hometown Kansas City sports teams.
