Biography
“Neurology is a complex discipline that requires a careful examination of the patient, searching for diagnostic clues. I am driven to solve these puzzles and help each patient in any way possible with multidisciplinary treatment, support and a rehabilitative plan.”
Dr. Story is board certified in neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine. He specializes in myasthenia gravis, ALS (also called Lou Gehrig's disease), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP, an autoimmune disorder), Guillain-Barre syndrome (when the body's immune system attacks the nerves), peripheral neuropathies (damage to the nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord), muscular dystrophies and autoimmune myopathies (neuromuscular disorders).
Charlotte magazine has recognized him as a Top Doctor in neurology.
He has been involved in research focusing on ALS, facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy and Charcot Marie Tooth 1A (an inherited neurological disorder that affects the peripheral nerves).
