In-person visits onlyDr. Prabhu is board certified in radiation oncology. He is medical director of radiation oncology at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute and director of radiation oncology research at Atrium Health. He is also adjunct associate professor of radiation oncology at Atrium Health.
He specializes in treating children and adults with central nervous system tumors. Dr. Prabhu also has a particular interest and expertise in treating cancers of the gastrointestinal system, leukemia, lymphomas, sarcomas, pediatric malignancies, and cancers of the lung, breast, head and neck. He has been named a Charlotte Magazine Top Doctor several times.
Dr. Prabhu is actively involved in research focusing on using novel radiation techniques and/or medications to reduce the toxicity of treatment of tumors of the central nervous system. He has authored or co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed research articles.
He received his medical degree at the University of Florida and his master’s in clinical research at Emory University. He also completed his residency at Emory.
