The Thoracentesis/Paracentesis Task Trainer Manufactured by Sawbones^®, allows for the diagnosis of pleural effusion and therapeutic removal of pleural air or liquid. In addition, it enables diagnostic paracentesis and lavage for the diagnosis of intraperitoneal bleeding, hollow viscus perforation by changing fluid color and treatment of some forms of peritonitis. Inserts and fluid reservoirs will accept repetitive uses and are refillable.
