The Wake Forest Baptist’s Heart and Vascular Fellowship in Adult Cardiovascular Medicine is an extensive 12-month program that prepares advanced practice providers (APPs) to gain additional knowledge, skills, and competency within the specialty of cardiovascular medicine.
In conjunction with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Center for Advanced Practice, and the Heart and Vascular Center, the fellowship will provide advanced training in cardiovascular disease management with experiences in adult consultative cardiology, ambulatory/longitudinal cardiovascular care, electrophysiology, heart failure/transplant, invasive and noninvasive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, critical care cardiology and research and scholarly activity. The cardiovascular fellowship provides advanced didactic education with comprehensive rotations to include the continuum of care of the cardiovascular patient. APP fellows will receive focused, dedicated individual training in addition to participating in grand rounds and interdepartmental learning.
This intensive fellowship program prepares APPs to provide excellent care for patients with acute and chronic cardiac diseases.
