The Atrium Health Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship in Urology is an intensive 12-month program that prepares APPs to fill the specialty provider gap in urology, improve patient access and enhance the quality of care in urology practices. Administered by the McKay Department of Urology, the fellowship provides advanced didactic education with a one month multidisciplinary intensive care rotation, followed by a nine month course of rotations focused on inpatient and ambulatory clinical experience in urology. Graduates will have the clinical knowledge and procedural skill set to provide high-quality urologic care in any anticipated future setting. APP fellows are members of the McKay Department of Urology team, which has ranked among the nation’s best on multiple occasions in the past decade by US News & World Report. Fellows will receive focused, dedicated individual training in addition to the existing urology curriculum already offered to residents and medical students.
