Course of Study

Transfer Credits
DNP students may transfer up to 6 graduate credit hours (with a grade of B or above) with approval of the DNP Graduate Program Director. No course being transferred may be older than 6 years at the time of graduation.
Simulation
Human patient and other lower fidelity simulation is used throughout the program’s curriculum. Students have ongoing access to the CAE Healthcare-HPS Simulator, birthing simulators and all Laerdal Simulator Models. Additional simulated training occurs using central venous, arterial, nerve block, intubation, and other parts trainers.

Tuition, Clinical Fees and Expenses
The cost of the program consists of tuition and fees paid to UNC Charlotte, clinical fees paid to CMC Nurse Anesthesia Program and other associated expenses. An estimate of total program cost can be found in the applicant brochure.

Scholarships/Loans
The Forgivable Education Loan for Service was established by the North Carolina General Assembly in 2011 and should be available for the 2019 - 2020 academic year. The loan provides financial assistance to qualified students who are committed to working in North Carolina in fields designated as critical employment shortage areas.
