Terri Bolotin

Terri Bolotin (She/Her)

Terri joined the faculty full-time in 2000. She holds the bachelor's degree from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, a Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University and a Master of Science in Organization Development from Queens University. Terri completed her Supervisory Education at Carolinas Medical Center and is an ACPE Certified Educator. Terri came to hospital spiritual care with 14 years of diverse ministerial experience, including high school teaching, adult literacy education, college campus ministry, prison visitation, parish ministry and outreach to Chicago's poor and immigrant communities. The Catholic Bishop of the Charlotte Diocese commissions Terri as a Pastoral Minister. She serves on the Central Division Ethics Committee and co-chairs the Schwartz Rounds Team and the Mercy Steering Committee and is the Coordinator of Planetree at Mercy. In ACPE, Terri has served on Regional and National Certification. She has an adult son with Down syndrome, who has taught her about being present to the joy of each moment. 
Bettyanna Bremer

Bettyanna attended Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO where she graduated with a BA in Biblical Studies. She completed her graduate education at Nazarene Theological Seminary where she earned a Master of Divinity and a Certificate in Chaplaincy. Bettyanna is an ordained elder and endorsed for chaplaincy ministry by the Nazarene Church and served as senior pastor in parish ministry for twelve years. She completed her clinical pastoral education at Advocate BroMenn hospital in Bloomington/Normal, Il and worked as a staff chaplain for Great River Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa for nine years. In 2013 Bettyanna made the move to Charlotte, NC to begin Supervisory Education, and in 2014 she was hired to create a spiritual care program for Atrium Health Mindy Ellen Levine Behavioral Health Center in Davidson. She serves on the National Advocacy Committee for ACPE. Bettyanna enjoys utilizing integrated healing therapies in her work utilizing mindfulness and meditation practices, aromatherapy, music and healing art. She and her husband, John, have two adult children and two grandsons.  

Chuck Godfrey

Chuck Godfrey (He/Him)

Chuck is a native of Rutherford County, NC and began as a Chaplain Resident at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in 2014. He completed residency, served as Chaplain Fellow for Levine Cancer Institute and then entered the Certified Educator Training program. He is now a Certified Educator Candidate at Atrium Health - Cleveland and a Board-Certified Chaplain. Chuck completed his undergraduate work at North Carolina State University and his Master of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University. He is an ordained Baptist minister and endorsed by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Chuck and his wife, Jessica, are parents to two daughters, Ella and Lara.    

Greg Hathaway

“I was drawn to CPE by the diversity of experiences to be had, the diversity of people and their stories and by the possibility that by showing up with a desire to listen and bear witness, I could somehow be included in people’s stories of transformation and healing and find that same thing for myself.” 

Greg Hathaway is the Director of Operations for the Spiritual Care Department at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, a Level 1 Regional Trauma Center in Charlotte, NC. Greg received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Studies from Gardner-Webb University School of Divinity in Boiling Springs, NC. Greg is a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and a Certified Educator with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. As a faculty member of the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Atrium Health, Greg develops curriculum, teaches and clinically supervises chaplaincy interns and residents in the development of their self-awareness, self-reflection and professional practice of spiritual care skills, particularly in acute care settings. He is a life-long native of North Carolina and has two teenage sons who continue to keep him humble and alert. He has played guitar for over 30 years and enjoys performing in and around the Charlotte area from time to time.

Angela began her chaplaincy journey as an intern at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in 2004. She has been the director of CPE since 2012. Angela is a Certified Educator and National Faculty with ACPE and a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. A graduate of Valparaiso University, Angela earned a Master of Divinity from the University of Chicago Divinity School. She is ordained as a deacon in the Lutheran (ELCA) Church and ecclesiastically endorsed by the Order of Universal Interfaith. Angela has served on various ACPE committees, including accreditation and ethics. She has two children, Apple and Nathan. 

Lisa Jeffcoat

“Like many folx, I started CPE as a student back in 2004 with a love for helping people and a simple desire to learn how to do that better. Now as an educator I’m grateful to engage CPE’s action-reflection process as a tool to empower our students as we learn together how to offer our best care and live our most authentic lives.” 

Lisa is the Assistant Director for Spiritual Care & Education at Atrium Health Cabarrus. She earned her Master of Divinity at Yale Divinity School, Master of Arts in Teaching at Winthrop University and Bachelor of Arts in Music and English from Furman University. She completed her Certified Educator training with Atrium Health from 2013-2016. Lisa is endorsed by The Humanist Society as a Chaplain and Celebrant. She has served as an APC Certification Specialist, ACPE Pacific Region Accreditation Committee member and President of Journal of Pastoral Care Publications, Inc. Lisa brings particular passions for music that reminds her to breathe, creativity that makes life vibrant, laughter that connects and learning that liberates. 

Mandy Singleton

Mandy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston, Charleston, SC; a Masters in Christian Education from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS and a Master of Divinity degree from Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC. She completed her CPE Internship at the William G. “Bill” Hefner VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC and her Chaplain Residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Mandy was ordained by the International Council of Community Churches and is a Board-Certified Chaplain. She is a Certified Educator Candidate and the Manager of Spiritual Care and Education at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, NC. 

Charles Thompson

Charles has been with Atrium Health for five years. He is a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplaincy and Certified Educator Candidate at Atrium Pineville. He earned his Master of Divinity from Shaw University and Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary.  In his spare time, he enjoys walking trails, bowling, playing pool and taking in plays and concerts. He is married and father to three daughters and a son.
