Why CMC? When seeking a PGY2 Critical Care residency program, it was essential for me to find a program that would challenge me clinically while fostering continued professional growth as I work toward becoming a skilled critical care pharmacist. Atrium Health CMC offers a diverse range of critical care experiences across multiple intensive care settings, providing the breadth and depth of training necessary to achieve my career goals. As a large academic medical center, CMC offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in the management of complex, critically ill patients, allowing me to further develop my clinical decision-making and patient care skills. CMC promotes a strong culture of learning, collaboration, and mentorship. I am confident that this supportive environment will help me refine my clinical expertise, strengthen my leadership abilities, and grow as an educator and preceptor. Ultimately, I believe the PGY2 Critical Care Residency at CMC will provide the foundation necessary to excel as a critical care clinical pharmacy specialist and contribute meaningfully to the care of critically ill patients.
