"I feel incredibly fortunate to train at CMC, a program where I am consistently supported by faculty and mentors who are genuinely invested in my success. Whether through networking opportunities, research mentorship, or guidance on balancing career and personal goals, there are always people willing to help me grow both professionally and personally.
What truly makes this program special is the sense of community. My co-residents are not only supportive colleagues, but also close friends who make even the busiest days enjoyable. The ancillary staff also contribute to an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. I genuinely enjoy coming to work each day and feel inspired training alongside residents who I know are becoming outstanding physicians. This program has made residency both a rewarding learning experience and an enjoyable place to grow."
Catherine Martini (PGY-2)
"CMC was my second interview and I immediately called my mom and said “I think I’ve found the place for me.” They offered such a warm welcome to me during meet and greets, the interview, and the second look. I was also very impressed with how small and connected the residency felt in a huge tertiary referral hospital. Since being at CMC, I have grown immensely thanks to the supportive faculty and collegiality amongst my co-residents. I have had the opportunity to develop incredible mentorship relationships, present posters at conferences, and work on some exciting research projects all while bettering my education, teaching medical students, and taking great care of patients. CMC has truly exceeded my expectations in a training program."
Lauren Harmon (PGY-4, Chief Resident)
"I interviewed with CMC early in the residency interview process and was immediately struck by the unique combination of high-acuity, complex patient care within a smaller, close-knit residency program. Throughout interview season, I kept coming back to CMC as the place where I could see myself growing both personally and professionally, and I could not be happier with that decision. What has stood out most during my time here is how intentionally the program invests in its residents. The attendings are approachable, excellent teachers, and truly know the residents they work with. Because of the size of our program, we have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with faculty, mentors, and co-residents. Residency leadership is accessible, supportive, and genuinely receptive to resident feedback. Time and again, I have seen resident suggestions lead to meaningful changes within the program, creating an environment where residents feel heard and valued. Whether through bedside teaching, research and fellowship mentorship, or the support of residency leadership, CMC has provided an environment where I feel challenged and supported."

Learn moreSome key features of our program include:
Our residents receive longitudinal training in Quality Improvement (QI) throughout their residency. As a part of our QI curriculum, residents learn to evaluate their own practice and examine patient care in a systems-based manner. Our residents are provided “report cards” on their care of patients in their practice panel with diabetes, asthma, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. These reports are reviewed semi-annually with ambulatory faculty mentors. Following this review, residents develop an action plan for patients at highest risk for poor health outcomes in their practice panel.
Learn moreIn addition to the many educational and career benefits of the Internal Medicine program, residents will receive financial benefits as well.
Learn moreAll residency interview days will be conducted virtually for the upcoming recruitment season. We review applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and accept only those from participants in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). ERAS access is available through your Dean’s Office.
Our interview season will run from mid-October through mid-December. Interview invitations will be sent on a rolling basis through Thalamus. Our program is participating in the NRMP Rank Order List (ROL) Early Lock, and we will certify our ROL by February 9, 2026. After this date, we will have some limited opportunities for optional in-person or virtual second looks after our program rank list is submitted and locked.
