Research
Carolinas Medical Center has an active neuroscience research program. At present, we have 13 research staff members (2 full time and 2 part-time clinical research nurses, 1 nurse practitioner, 1 research coordinator, 2 data management specialists, 1 scheduler/timekeeper, 3 regulatory specialists and 1 finance adviser). Staff can assist trainees with research proposals, IRB and regulatory matters, data collection and storage and statistical analysis. Clinical research office space is available at CMC-Main hospital, CMC-Kenilworth clinic and CMC-Edgehill clinic. Lab space is available on the CMC campus at the Cannon Research Center if a trainee is to pursue independent bench research.
