Many graduates from Levine Children’s Hospital at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center continue their education by pursuing fellowships in pediatric subspecialties. The program encourages and supports residents who are interested in additional training.
The only pediatric fellows at Carolinas Medical Center are in the Emergency Department. The absence of fellows in other pediatric divisions creates opportunities for residents to work directly with faculty.
These close working relationships, together with the volume, variety and acuity of the patient population, create an optimal training environment and prepare residents to succeed in the fellowships they choose.
